Delete your account & data
How a member can delete their THANAL account, in the Android app or at thanal.uboak.in.
How to request deletion
E-mail thanaluboa@gmail.com from the e-mail address on your membership record, quoting your membership number (TS…) and your employee number. You may also write to the Society at the registered office below.
We confirm the request against your membership record and action it within 30 days. You will receive written confirmation once it is done.
Deleting your THANAL account does not end your membership of the Society, and does not forfeit your corpus. If you also wish to leave the Society and have your corpus refunded, say so in the same e-mail — that is a separate process under the bye-laws and is handled by the Governing Body.
What is deleted
- Your THANAL login account and password
- Your profile details, photograph and the contact details you entered
- Nominee details you recorded in the portal
- Your sign-in sessions on every device, and any notification subscriptions
None of this is recoverable once deleted.
Health information
The Society does not collect health or medical information through this app or the member portal. An application for assistance records only the scheme applied for and the amount — no diagnosis, no medical documents, no treatment details.
What is kept, and why
Thanal Society is a registered welfare society (Reg. No. TVM/TC/450/2025) and must keep certain records regardless of any account deletion. The following is retained:
- The membership register — your name, membership number and dates of joining and cessation, as the Society is required to maintain a register of its members
- Financial records — your monthly subscriptions, corpus balance and any hand-loan, insurance or medical-assistance amounts paid or received. These are accounting records of the Society, are subject to audit, and are also what protects your claim to a corpus refund
- Decisions of the Governing Body that concern you, as part of the Society's minutes
This retained information is not used to contact you, and is not shared outside the Society and its auditors except where the law requires it.
If you cannot sign in
You do not need a working login to request deletion. E-mail us from your registered address, or telephone +91 97477 73220 and we will verify your identity against the membership record.
